Navigating through the mind of an artist can lead us down many different avenues of expression. Please join us on Saturday February 4th at the Pretty Pretty Collective as we walk down two of those avenues exhibiting the visual art of 4 musicians. 7pm-11pm
Tyson Vogel of Two Gallants has put together a collection of paintings using a mix of pencil, ink and gouache on paper. His ability to harness his expression on the drums shines through in these abstracted images of space and time.
Tim Cohen, a fixture in the San Francisco music community and the leader of the band Magic Trick will allow us to experience symmetry and controlled chaos through the bright colors of his mixed media paintings.
Damon Lockaby, drummer in San Francisco’s rock and roll group Banquet, displays great diligence and detail with his pen and ink illustrations of images from our natural world. Damon sometimes uses charcoal and watercolor. The content of his work is a response to the social and political climate of today.
And finally, the third drummer in this group of musicians is Jalise Woodward. She is based out of Los Angeles and plays for Wet and Reckless, an all girl musical experience. Her artwork shows us how she keeps things in perspective with her Fine Art Illustration/Photoshop works.
Let’s celebrate the diversity of the creative mind together with laughter and the sweet songs of Tanner Zelinsky and Shane Wingert…. plus plenty of PBR and Jameson!
